Nissan has once again bested themselves with the debut of the 2013 Altima. They have not only updated the look, but also added more driver assist features and increased the fuel economy. Nissan has kept the mechanical components the same with the exception of a few upgrades to improve upon Altima’s already outstanding performance. The look of the new Altima, although not radically different, has been updated to provide a sleeker, more stylish appearance and the interior has been updated to make it more driver and passenger friendly.
The Altima is available with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder or 3.5-liter V6 engine with the continuously variable transmission (CVT). When the CVT is paired with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, it offers a combined 31 mpg, making it the most fuel-efficient member of the midsize vehicle class. The Altima is also available in a number of trims from base to fully loaded. This variety of choices allows you to choose an Altima that is as basic or as high-tech as you are comfortable with. With extras like a sunroof, navigation system, upgraded audio system, the list of additions is almost endless. The Altima has also been noted as one of the better choices for family road trips, taking its comfortable interior and fuel-economy into account.
